Jio Prime Offer : A year of fun

Reliance Industries Limited has recently announced Jio Prime Offer. After a year long of absolute free service, Jio is bringing its tariff plan. But to surprise, you more Prime offer is just the cherry on the cake.

Through this article, I will try to dissect the scheme for a better clarification. I hope it will help you to clear your confusions and will help you to take a decision. Whether it is good to opt for or not, decide it yourself according to your affordability.

Who are eligible for Jio Prime membership?

All existing Jio users and all who will take a new connection before 31st March 2017 .

What do you need to avail Jio Prime Membership?

You can use My JIO app from your phone or you can use jio.com website to do the same.

It is for 28 days, not 30:

As the most viral plan which is being promoted for Jio Prime users is INR 303/-/month but it is not the only one. You can always opt for lower or higher plans according to your requirement. It should be noted that monthly INR303/- plan is not actually for 30/31 day plan but it will be valid for 28 days only.

Jio Prime members will be under FUP model i.e. you will be able to use data on high speed for 1GB/Day and after that, it will be lowered to 128 KBPS.

Forget happy hours:

There is no night unlimited or happy hours offer for Prime users or for non-prime users.

Check the difference:

Prime membership offer will be valid for one year only (i.e. 31st March 2018) and after that, if you become habituated to it then you have to pay INR1999/- to avail same amount of monthly data at 4G speed. In this way, your expense in 2018 will increase by INR20352/-

Jio prime users will be able to add just one more device via tethering hotspot. So forget to pair it with as many devices you want. Too bad for hostel and mess users.

If a year of fun is what you are looking for, go for JIO Prime. Don’t loose control, there will be always a comeback. Best wishes.

  1. Hi,

Thanks for the info on reliance jio, i was not aware about the cost analysis which you showed up.
Very Interesting and being a jio user I am still left to avail the jio prime membership offers.

    • Thanks Mr. Srinivas, but we should be ready to be surprised with new schemes in this competitive market. After a year scenario may change a lot. These facts are just supporting the momentary situation.
